Carrie Lynn Hardee, 33, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at home after a long and courageous battle with diabetes.
A resident of Wayne County for most of her life, Carrie was born August 3, 1987 in Marion, South Carolina. After graduating with honors from Everest College in Atlanta, Carrie worked as a Medical Assistant. She loved listening to music and spending time in the sun, whether at the beach, lake, river or in her front yard. Carrie always took time to enjoy the simple things in life like sitting on the porch watching the animals next door. Although she was feisty at times and tough when she needed to be, Carrie had a soft spot for her family and friends. She would do anything in her power to help a friend in need and when she blew a kiss, she told the receiver to stick it in their pocket as she stuck theirs in hers. Her grandparents, Vivian Hodge, Geneva and Robert Maine, Temple Pittman and uncle, Gregory McMichael, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her former husband, James Hardee and daughter, Shyanne Hardee of Lakewood, Colorado; son, Christopher Pruitt of Screven; mother and father, Rodney and Janet Pinyan of Screven, sisters, Holly Brannen of Jesup and Heather and Bryan Landon of Screven. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 31, 2021 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with Rev. Dickie Waters officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Landon, Hunter Landon, Austin Landon, Braegan Todd, Jayden Drury, Oscar Moschettieri, Bryan Landon, Zach Hutchinson, Athens Brannen and Alive’a Brannen.
