Bruce E. Caldwell, 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
A resident of Jesup, Georgia for the past three years and former resident of California, Wichita, Kansas and Phillipsburg, Kansas, Bruce was born on July 13, 1954 in Topeka, Kansas to the late Thomas and Gloria Jean Quathamer Caldwell. He worked in metal fabrication for most of his life, eventually working his way up to the position of inspector. In his spare time, Bruce enjoyed collecting coins, gardening and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Caldwell.
Survivors include his wife, Dottie Caldwell of Jesup, Georgia; one son, Bill Caldwell and companion, Linda of Pittsburg, California; sister, Camille Bobo of Kansas City, Missouri; three stepchildren, Scott Hicks of Fredonia, Kansas, Tracy Hicks and companion, Patty of Allenhurst, Georgia and Jeremy Hicks of Lincoln, Nebraska; uncle, Vern Quathamer and wife, Linda of Jesup, Georgia and sister-in-law, Joni Riemann of McPherson, Kansas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
