Anthony Harold Kesler, 75, affectionately known by his friends and family as “Tony,” passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
A resident of Jesup for the past twenty-six years, Tony was a native of Chicago, Illinois. He worked as an over the road truck driver for nearly forty-six years before his retirement several years ago. In his spare time, Tony enjoyed fishing, watching television and spending time with the ones he loved. His parents and his daughter, Angela Kesler; son, Johnny Kesler and former wife, Heather Kesler, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-six years, Mary Nell Sears Kesler of Jesup; step daughters, Melissa Pellum and Christine Green of Macclenny, Florida; step son, Carl Pellum, Jr. of Jesup and step grandchildren, Michael and Corey Varnum, Alex Pellum, Jacob Mae, Matthew Green and Shayna Green. Several brothers and sisters, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with Reverends Charles and Thomas Drury officiating.
Interment will follow in the Jesup City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Carl Pellum, Jr., Michael Varnum, Corey Varnum, Alex Pellum, Jacob Mae and Matthew Green.
