Andrew James Davis, Jr., 25, affectionately known by his family and friends as, “A.J.” passed away on September 2, 2023 at Memorial Health University in Savannah.
A.J. was born on August 15, 1998 in Redlands, California.  He spent his early years there and graduated from Orangewood High School in the Class of 2015.  A.J. joined the United States Army and graduated basic training on September 1, 2022.  When he wasn’t working, A.J. loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed hunting, shooting, camping and fishing.  Evenings outside cooking and eating beside the warming light of a bon fire with the ones he loved were his favorite nights.
Survivors include his wife, Cassie Engelsman and two daughters, Luna Moreno and Serenity Davis.  Numerous other family and extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
