Amy Lee (O'Neal) Kirkland

Amy Lee O’Neal Kirkland, 41, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia after a lengthy illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Wayne County, Amy was born on October 25, 1981 to the late, Andrew Raiford O’Neal and Linda Gail Strickland O’Neal.  She worked numerous “odd jobs” over the years cleaning houses and taking care of her elderly parents.  She loved lighthouses and had collected quite a few throughout her lifetime.  Amy loved to laugh, make jokes and spend time with her beloved family.  In addition to her parents, her son, Eric Lee Kirkland, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her fiancé, Mark Lively of Jesup; two children, Amanda Sky Kirkland and Andrew Joseph Kirkland both of Woodville, Texas and sister, Leslie Joyce O’Neal of Nahunta.  Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
