Amilcar Salazar-Salguero, 61, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at home.
A resident of Jesup, Georgia for the past twelve years and former resident of Atlanta for many years, Amilcar was born on December 17, 1962 in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala to the late, Miguel Enrique Salazar and Evangelina Salguero. He spent his early years in Guatemala before moving to the United States in 1988. He worked as a landscaper and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Amilcar loved joking around and he was passionate about the things he loved. He was friendly and loved dancing and listening to music. More than anything, he loved the time he spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife of thirteen years, Brianna Bell of Jesup, Georgia; siblings, Flory Salazar and husband, Eduardo and Gladis Salazar and husband, Armando all of Guatemala and Carlos Salazar and wife, Corina and Oscar Salazar all of California; three stepchildren, Regina Alinur of Atlanta, Dan Roach of Seattle Washington and Kevin Whittington and wife, Mary of Denver, Colorado; brothers-in-law, George Bell of Houston, Texas and Andrew Bell and wife, Helga of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Numerous extended family members also survive.
