Amanda Pittman Herrold

Amanda Jean Herrold, 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Altamaha Healthcare in Jesup under the care of Hospice of South Georgia, Inc.

A resident of Long County for the past year, Amanda was born on June 7, 1963 in Savannah.  She was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother who adored her family and cherished the time they spent together.  Amanda enjoyed playing card games, especially Spades and Rummy and watching I Love Lucy and In the Heat of the Night on television.  

Her husband, Thomas Joseph Herrold, father, William Grover Pittman and her son, Michael Pittman, both preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Brandon Pittman and wife, Samantha; daughter, Jessica Pittman; mother, Pearl Wall; children who she loved like her own, Carrie Tedder, Marissa Caruso and James Thrasher; four brothers, Mike Wall, Kevin Pittman, Craig Pittman and Shawn Wall and two sisters, Missy Wall and Paula Wall.  Three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Memorial services will be private.
