Vincent Thomas Traska

Vincent Thomas Traska, 80, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

A resident of Jesup for the past twenty-four years and native of Brooklyn, New York Vince was born on October 22, 1938 to the late Walter and Anne Traska.  He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and made his living as a warehouse supervisor for DuPont.  Vince enjoyed fishing and bowling in his spare time but especially loved spending time with his family and his beloved canine companion, Mr. Beans.

In addition to his parents, his brother, John Walter Traska, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-six years, Beth Traska of Jesup; three daughters, Allison Dabbs of Paden City, WV, Julie Loxley and husband, Justin  of Moyjock, NC and Ann Drivers of Monroe, NC. Eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous extended family members also survive.

Graveside funeral services will  be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Stanley Todd officiating.   Military honors will be rendered by the United States Navy.
