Leighton Revae Johnson, Jr., 50, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at home under the care of his loving family and the staff of Hospice of South Georgia.
Revae was born on May 7, 1969 in Jesup, Georgia. He touched the lives of so many people with his beautiful smile. Revae loved music and long rides in the car. He attended Wayne Service Center and also went to church regularly at the Crossroads Church of God where he worshiped the Lord with all his heart. Revae loved life and always wanted to pull back the curtains and see the beautiful world outside. He never missed a night saying his prayers and is now enjoying all the beauty and splendor of heaven.
Survivors include his mother and father, Annie Faye Reddish Johnson and Leighton Revae Johnson, Sr.; brother, Mike Carpenter; sisters, Kim Carpenter and Connie Carpenter; nephew, Chad Wheeler; nieces, Serenity, Brittany, Heather and Danni-Lynn Carpenter and Abigail Pruin all of Jesup. A host of extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Crossroads Church of God with Pastor Hulet Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family.
