Joshua Lee Gill

Joshua Lee Gill, 39, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 at home.

A lifelong resident of Arkansas and Southeast Georgia, Josh or Lee, as he was known by his friends and family was born on April 1, 1980 in Adel, Georgia.  He was a millwright by trade who traveled extensively with his work.  Josh loved the outdoors and couldn’t stand to be cooped up indoors.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, reading, swimming, writing poetry and spending time with the ones he loved.

His grandfather, James Russell Gill; his cousin, Cody Michener and his niece, Delta Turner, preceded him in death.  

Survivors include his mother, Lynda Thompson; father, Virgil Lee Hendry; grandmother, Jeannie Gill; brother, Zach Bearden; sister, Ashley Hines; children, Ridge and Molly; cousin, Holly Bearden and his fiancé, Brandie Joy Dixon.  A host of step siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Whosoever Church in Brantley County with Reverend Trey Keene officiating.
