Joey Poole Obituary

Jesup-Joey Grant Poole, 56, of Jesup passed away Tuesday,June 19, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends, under the care of Heartland Hospice.

He was a native of WayneCountyand was a 1974 graduate of WayneCountyHigh School. He was an automobile mechanic by trade and was Baptist by faith.

Mr. Poole was known by his family and friends to have a loving, sweet spirit and was known to say, "Thank-you" and "I love you" to those who cared for him on a daily basis. Mr. Poole is survived by his son, Jason Poole, of Jesup; his daughter, Jennifer Poole-Wheatcraft of Jesup; three grandchildren, Kaileb Ray-Grant of Indianapolis IN, Mahaley Jewel Pruitt of Jesup and Madison May Pruitt of Jesup; a brother, Roger Poole (JoAnn) of Jesup; and two sisters, Faye Beck (Howard) of Scottsboro, AL and Jeanine Driggers (Eddie) of Jesup and several nieces and nephews.

His father, Robert L. Poole and his mother Vida Lee Collins Poole preceded him in death.

There will be no local services.

Howard & Jones Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
