Franklin Bryan Strickland, 49, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A former resident of Winder, Georgia and a resident of Jesup most of his life, Bryan was born on September 4, 1969 in Jesup. He worked as a forklift operator for many years before taking a job with Hendrix Hauling driving dump trucks. Bryan was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, talking about hunting and dogs. His father, Franklin Dilburn Strickland and his two brothers, Bruce Wayne and Brady Allen Strickland all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Strickland of Jesup; daughter, Jessica Griffis and husband, Andrew of Jesup; mother, Cherrie Graham and husband, Jervis; siblings, Britt Dilburn Strickland and wife, Lisa of Jesup, Christy Graham and fiancé, Anthony Combs of Winder, Ashley Graham of Winder, Justin Graham and wife, Jayde of Winder, Kenneth Graham and Adrienne Graham of Winder; and grandsons, Jedidiah and Ivan Griffis both of Jesup. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with Reverend Stanley Todd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Andrew Griffis, Jeff McIntosh, Dallas Strickland, Christopher Strickland, Britt Strickland and Jimmy Strickland.
